A 1950 Pontiac Chieftain Silver Streak Convertible, which was owned by Keith Richards while The Rolling Stones were based on the Cote d'Azur in the 1970s, is to be sold in Bonhams Sale of Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia at the RAF Museum, Hendon on 30 April 2012. The car has attracted a pre-sale estimate of $22,000.

The Rolling Stones arrived on the Cote d'Azur in 1971. They were joined by a steady stream of visitors, from William Burroughs to Gram Parsons, and, during this time, they recorded the acclaimed album Exile on Main Street.
