ACC’s offices have been buzzing since the start of the new year. This is when we prep for our trip to Arizona and start building our plan for another issue of the magazine, which ships to press just after the close of the upcoming auctions.

This is one of my favorite times of year, as it’s when the Arizona auction houses all show off what’s coming to their sales. For them, this is the culmination of months of work, from sourcing the cars they’ll be selling through cataloging them with images and copy. It’s always fun to see what interesting lots will pop up for sale, and what might show up that we’ve seen before.

As for me, I’m most excited about the ACC Seminar that we’re hosting on Wednesday at Barrett-Jackson. Carl Bomstead, Jay Harden, Sam Stockham, B. Mitchell Carlson and I be talking about our picks to Buy, Sell, and Hold for 2018, as well as what we’d buy from B-J if the cost was not a concern. The team is a diverse one in terms of their interests, so the conversation should be a lot of fun. From there, I’ll be hosting a few auction car segments later in the day, all of which can be seen online at www.barrett-jackson.com.

We’ll have a booth for Sports Car Market and American Car Collector at the Gooding Auction throughout the week, so stop by and subscribe or renew there. I’ll be there, along with ACC Editorial Staffers Chad Tyson and Chad Taylor. Swing by and say hi — we always like connecting with readers, especially when there are tires to kick.

Look for our report from Arizona in the next issue of ACC!
