This past weekend in Amelia Island, FL, some of the world’s most important cars crossed the block. The preliminary numbers are very strong.
RM reported nearly $36m in sales and a 97% sell-through rate. The top American lot was a 1934 Duesenberg Model SJ Convertible Sedan, sold at $1,567,500 (pictured above). See more results here.
Gooding & Company reported nearly $31m in sales, with 78 of 88 lots sold (89%). Gooding’s high American sale was a 1909 ALCO 40hp runabout at $280,500. See select results here.
That puts preliminary totals for Amelia Island weekend at $67m, and that number will grow as soon as Hollywood Wheels releases results. Watch this space for updates.
