Collections Featured at SG Auctions’ Fall Auction

SG Auctions will be holding their Fall Classic Collector Car Auction at Remlinger Muscle Car Museum in Winona, MN on October 12-13, 2018.

The sale begins at 1 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday, with preview times prior.

Among this year’s featured collections is the LP Collection.

Based in St. Paul MN, Mike and Cavan of the LP Collection have built up their shop from a hobby space to a true resource for people who put their heart and soul into maintaining and restoring cars.

The cars in the LP stable are meticulously maintained, and most importantly, they do not sit around and collect dust. Every weekend, this crew attends shows around the metro area, always driving their cars. That said, if you are fortunate enough to own a car from this stable, you know with confidence that every car has been meticulously maintained and is ready for the open road.

Cars from the LP Collection that will be auctioned include a 1973 Ford Maverick Grabber with 302 and only 61,000 miles, a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Yenko tribute featuring a 468 big block Chevy sending power through a five-speed manual and Posi rear end, and two custom 1950 Mercury hardtops.

In addition, SG will also be offering cars from the Vault Collection, including several #1 condition Ford Thunderbirds. This is an opportunity to own the best first-gen Thunderbirds anywhere, including a ’57 D-code and E-code.

Finally, SG will also feature the Eugene Severn No-reserve Collection.

This collection of vehicles comes from Major Eugene Severn, a retired Air Force pilot with 22 years of service under his wings. The place he called home for many years was Texas while being stationed at the James Connally Air Base. That is where he started his car collection with the purchase of a Dodge Coupe D-14 and 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk, both bought brand new.

The Major personally drove the Golden Hawk up to Iowa in the ’70s where it remained on blocks in a friend’s garage until June 2018. Since arriving in Iowa, the Severn collection grew to over 20 cars featuring a 1971 Plymouth Scamp with original paint and interior, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 complete with 289 and only 70k miles, and Major Severn’s one-owner ’57 Studebaker Golden Hawk. All will be sold at no reserve.
