Forest Grove Concours Celebrates 50 years of the Mustang and GTO

The 42nd Annual Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance will celebrate 50 years of the Ford Mustang and Pontiac GTO on Sunday, July 20. ACC Publisher Keith Martin returns for his eighth year as emcee. SCM Editor at Large Donald Osborne joins Keith at the microphone. Donald will also provide morning commentary, interviewing the owners on the show field.

The event features more than 300 vintage, sports and collector cars presented on the tree-shaded campus of Pacific University, just west of Portland, OR. Classic automobiles compete for awards in over 50 judged classes. The concours weekend also features a Vineyard Driving Tour and an Evening of Elegance Dinner on Saturday, July 19th.

A 1965 Ford Mustang convertible displayed by LeMay – America’s Car Museum is the centerpiece of the Mustang feature class.

Glenn Mounger, former Chairman of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will serve as Senior Judge.

Entertainment will be provided by The Tom Grant Band featuring Shelly Rudolf. Tom Grant plays jazz piano with the harmonic sophistication and deep sense of swing that only comes from more than four decades on the bandstand.

All proceeds from the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance benefit Forest Grove Rotary Club Foundation college scholarships, youth sports, scouting programs and various service projects in Western Oregon. The Rotary Club has returned more than $1 million to the community, including scholarships and financial aid to over 700 Washington County students.
