Fins, chrome, power—what’s not to love about Jet Age American cars? They often had big engines, strong performance, large swept bodies, and styling that echoed contemporary aircraft, furniture, and architecture.

RM‘s July 26 Motor City sale in Plymouth, MI, will present a selection of cars from 1948 to 1967 that boast some of the most iconic styling and features from the era. Highlights include a 1960 Chrysler 300F convertible (pictured), a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 327/300 convertible, a 1964 Mercury Park Lane convertible and a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 convertible.
