Mecum Auctions returns to the Kansas City Convention Center this December 5-7 to continue one of the company’s longest-running annual auctions. Mecum Kansas City 2019 will mark the company’s 26th year of collector-car auctions in Kansas City, Missouri, and it is slated to present an estimated 700 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, trucks, hot rods, resto mods and more for auction.
Headlining consignments slated for the auction block are led by a pair of Ford GTs; one is a 2005 Ford GT coupe in white with blue stripes, and the other is a 2006 Ford GT coupe in the iconic and highly desirable Heritage Edition livery. A trio of Chevrolet Corvettes are also among featured lots consigned to Mecum Kansas City 2019. A 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe with a fuel-injected 327/360hp engine and a Muncie 4-speed transmission has an Ermine White exterior and a red interior, and a similarly equipped 4-speed and fuel-injected 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe presents in a bold pairing of red-on-red. Also consigned is a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with just 29,000 miles on its original 427/435 L71 engine, the original 15×6 wheels with restored original trim tags, the original Firestone redline tires and the original hardtop.
Mecum Kansas City 2019 is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. Bidder registration is available in advance online for $100, $200 after Dec. 4, and it includes admission for two for all auction days. General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 online and at the gate after Dec. 4; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Doors open daily at 8 a.m., with the vehicle auction beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 and at 11 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, December 6-7. Mecum Kansas City 2019 will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network for 15.5 hours including 14 hours of live coverage.
