The Forest Grove Concours d ‘Elegance returns for its 43rd year on Sunday, July 19, on the historic, tree-shaded campus of Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Keith Martin and Donald Osborne return as co-emcees. Alex Martin-Banzer will serve as a concours judge. All three will participate in Saturday’s Tour d’Elegance and attend the Saturday night gala dinner. Martin and Osborne will emcee the gala as well. SCM will host a booth at the concours.
The 2015 event theme is “A Grand Classic Celebration.”The Concours will host a CCCA Grand Classic, a regional meet for Classic Car Club of America members featuring American or foreign-made classics built from 1925 to 1948. Fifty Full Classics are expected on the show field. Featured in the Grand Classic is a 1930 Packard Model 740 entered by Chris Yarrow. This automobile was once by owned by Mr. Yarrow’s grandfather and was used to chauffeur King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939. Special displays include 60 Years of the Ford Thunderbird and Modern Super Cars. The Modern Super Car class will feature automobiles from the Portland, Oregon-based Dream Drives for Kids. The organization is dedicated to brightening the lives of sick children by providing rides in exotic sports cars. Spectators will be able to take pictures with the Dream Drives Super Cars during a “Sit and Snap” session from noon to 1 p.m. The class will include rare high-performance supercars from a 2006 Saleen S7 to a 2015 BMW i8.
In honor of the car’s 60th anniversary, the Concours will feature a special class for Ford Thunderbirds built 1955-1966. A 1963 Ford Thunderbird Sport Roadster owned by LeMay — America’s Car Museum will be the centerpiece of this class dedicated to America’s first personal luxury car.
Peter Hageman will serve as Senior Judge. Mr. Hageman is well known in the collector car community as a classic car owner, judge at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and co-founder of the Kirkland Concours (now the Pacific Northwest Concours d’Elegance). Peter has displayed automobiles at Forest Grove many times over the past 20 years.

The Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance was created in 1973 as a fundraiser for the Forest Grove Rotary Club’s scholarship program and community service projects. Thanks to the Concours d’Elegance, the Rotary Club has returned more than $1 million in projects to the community.

Hear the smooth jazz sounds of The Tom Grant Band, featuring Shelly Rudolph, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. The Trophy Presentation starts at 2 p.m.
Advance tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for children ages 13-18, and can be purchased through July 15 at forestgroveconcours.org/attend. At the gate, tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $7 for children ages 13-18. Entry is free for children ages 12 and younger.
