Motostalgia’s Austin Grand Prix Auction takes place this Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7. American classics on offer include a Super Stock 1968 Plymouth Barracuda (Motostalgia estimate: $175k–$225k), a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 ($275k–$325k) and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Fuelie convertible ($120k–$155k).
Sales totaled $5.5m at Auctions America’s debut Hilton Head Island sale on October 31. The most-expensive American car was a 1953 Chevrolet Corvette that sold for $379,500, well above its $225k–$275k pre-sale estimate. Seventy-eight cars sold out of 116, for a 67% sales rate.
