Dan Kruse Classics will be conducting their 42nd Annual Hill Country Classic Car Auction in Austin on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Palmer Events Center, in downtown Austin. Including in the offering, which is open to the public, is a collection of ten Corvettes from a private collector, all being offered without minimum or reserve to the highest bidder.
In 2009 Corvette had two special editions, limited production models: the Competition Sport (CSC) and the GT1 Championship (GT1) editions. “This collection was put together by a West Texas oilman. It also includes two ZR1s: an ’09, which is the first year of production that at 638 hp finally catapulted Corvette into the status of supercar, and a 2010 with only 7 miles” explained Tiffany Kruse, Auction Coordinator with Dan Kruse Classics.
“It’s a great weekend event for the entire family!” Dan Kruse, Chief Auctioneer exclaimed. “All of the cars are indoors so rain or shine, you can view the cars and watch the auction. The one-day auction includes a variety of cars, trucks and motorcycles; so, whether this is the first auction you go to, or your thirtieth, there is something for everyone!”
Notable other cars in the auction include a 1966 Lincoln Continental Limousine originally hailing from the James C Leake Collection, believed to have been the personal limo of Dr. Henry Kissinger, a ‘67 Mercedes-Benz 250SL Roadster, a 1966 Ford CAV GT40 Coupe, an ‘06 Lamborghini Murcielago Convertible… plus a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Hardtop, or 1965 Cadillac Coupe deVille – all also being offered without reserve.
