Vicari Auction Hits $1.3 Million at New Orleans Event

The Vicari Auction Company announces total sales for their third annual New Orleans Classic Auto Festival reached $1.3 million, excluding buyer’s premium.
More than 100 classic and muscle cars crossed the block during the event, which took place Dec. 1, 2012, at the famous Mardi Gras World in New Orleans, La.   
“We strive to create an entertaining and customer-focused environment for collector car enthusiasts, and the third annual New Orleans Classic Auto Festival delivered just that,” said President Pete Vicari. “Visitors love coming to New Orleans because of the surrounding environment and activities for everyone in the family. We make every effort to provide quality auctions and are gearing up for an exciting 2013 with our first sale in Nocona, Texas on April 19 and 20.”
The New Orleans Classic Auto Festival Top 10 Vehicle Sales (does not include 8 percent buyer’s premium) were:
1. 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible at $75,000
2. 1960 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster at $72,000
3. 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible at $70,000
4. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe at $68,000
5. 1957 Studebaker Goldenhawk at $55,000
6. 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible at $55,000
7. 1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible at $55,000
8. 1990 Bentley Arnage Green Label at $42,500
9. 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible at  $42,500
10. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Hard Top at $42,000
